Symposium iX
Sound & Immersion

The iX Symposium, dedicated to the immersive experience, was created by the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT) in 2014 as a platform for discussion, sharing and creation of immersive technologies. An annual international gathering of leading names in immersion, the symposium is a playground to explore the possibilities of new immersive environments: domes, virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed realities…

The iX Symposium will take place on February 6, 2021, in partnership with the Ircam Forum and McGill University. This 7th edition will be devoted to experimentation around the theme "Sound & Immersion" and will take place in the virtual space SATELLITE, the SAT's new immersive web platform. You will be able to follow the lectures and discussions live on Facebook and Vimeo.

The iX Symposium 2021 is organized jointly with the Ircam Forum and McGill University. The Ircam Forum workshops in Montreal, an international meeting bringing together Forum members and the international community of music and sound technology specialists, will be held online from February 4 to 12, 2021.
