FIELDS is an immersive voyage that seeks to discover the hidden poetry in our everyday environment.

Alexis Nemtchenko (Merovee) and Antoine Vanel (Blindsp0t) perform in 360° the field data they’ve collected.

Following the public’s indications, they conduct sound recordings and analyze the area’s big data to create new immersive environments. They manipulate, distort, superimpose mixes and sound recordings in Ambisonics with big data extracted from Google Maps.

The audience is immersed in dramatic, soothing, fantastic and abstract landscapes. They deconstruct the spatial and temporal scales, change our perspectives, and rebuild new sensory and subjective spaces. They offer new perspectives on spaces that blur the line between nature and urbanism, far from the agglomerations that we focus on, both artists and citizens.

Merovee is a composer and artist born in 1986 in Lyon. His artistic research examines our sound environment, raising the issues of its preservation and the impact we have on it. Passionate about field-recording, he roams urban, exotic and everyday rural areas. Back in the studio, he sculpts material using his favourite synths and distorsions, adding traditional instruments and archive documents. He takes the listener to experimental and surreal soundscapes with unusual textures. He puts on various stage and multicast performances, audiovisual installations, workshops and conferences.
